Expression of Interest – Bell Tower Residencies 2018: Process and Play
With the support of the Tim Fairfax Foundation, Judith Wright Centre of Contemporary Arts and BlakDance, Ausdance Qld is pleased to offer three residencies in the Judith Wright Centre of Contemporary Arts Bell Tower studio.
This is an opportunity for a dance practioner or dance collective of any background and creative process to dedicate time and space to develop an idea. This could be a new work, a re-development of an existing work, a research space or a practical movement laboratory.
This residency provides:
- A $1000 cash stipend
- Access to the Bell Tower Studio for 7 days free of charge
- Access to Ausdance Queensland office resources including: desk, internet, printer, phone and meeting space.
This residency is open to dance artists and collectives across all genres, styles and sectors within Dance in Queensland. These residencies are to focus on practice, play and developing craft. No formal outcome or offering is a requirement of this residency. Furthermore Ausdance Qld is committed to diversity and inclusive practices, as such one of these residencies is EXCLUSIVELY for First Nations Artists and is supported by BlakDance.
*Please note that the First Nations Dance residency will be assessed by a panel of industry peers including First Nations peoples.
Who is eligible:
- Over 18 years of age
- Live and work in Queensland
- Identify as a dance practioner
- Hold current PLI or has the ability to obtain PLI prior to their placement
- Ausdance Qld members
