Choreographer/producer Liz Lea brings the Northern and Southern skies to land, just for a moment! Collaborating with astronomers and scientists based at Mount Stromlo Observatory she explores the questions behind black holes, exploding stars and observes new galaxies.

Working with music inspired by the Northern and Southern lights, this is a project that plans to tour to Observatories nationally.

Program includes:
Dance solos
– ‘Cygnus’ inspired by the legend of a northern constellation lying on the Milky Way
– ‘Light Dance’
– ‘Southern Lights’
– ‘Big Bang’ with voiceover by astronomer, Dr Brad Tucker
‘The Stars, The Stars’ a dance film by Sarah Kaur, a comment on Mt Stromlo Observatory which was gutted by the 2003 Canberra bushfires
‘Planets’ interactive dance/media performance by Michael Smith and Andy Bates

Kids 10yo+ can learn the ‘Light Dance’ with Liz Lea before the show!
