Ausdance Qld is hosting a dance masterclass with internationally acclaimed creator Mate Meszaros, as part of the Supercell Dance Festival.
The masterclass will explore floorwork and partnering based on the material of Mate creations and is open to experienced dancers aged 15 and up.
After graduating from the Hungarian Dance Academy, Mate spent his early career at the Szeged Contemporary Ballet working with Tamás Juronics. Mate has since worked with some of Europe’s most reputed choreographers, including Ohad Naharin, Wim Vandekeybus, Sharon Eyal, Amanda Miller, Roberto Galvan, Myriam Naisy and Robin Orlin.
The masterclass will involve dynamic and powerful material with a focus on the physicality that defines the essential movement.
"Our body is the same in every movement and in any style but the possibility to change is essential. We focus on these principals through different exercises and ways of approaches." said Mate.
