Queensland Dance Forum 2017 – one week to go

Want to have your voice heard in the dance community?

Want to make an important contribution to the future of dance in Queensland?

Come along to the Queensland Dance Forum and be part of the conversation

QDF2017 will connect members of the Queensland Dance community from across the state and provide a platform for discussion and debate about dance in Queensland.

QDF2017 will kick off with a diverse and experienced panel, including Kate Champion, Sue Gillingham, Rita Pryce and Sandi Woo, answering the question Why Bother? The panel will provoke passions and drive a discussion about why we care about dance.

The main interactive session of the forum, Grand Failures invites participants to embrace the beneficial power of failure. Our provocateurs, Gavin Webber and Grayson Millwood from The Farm, will share their past artistic failures and show how they were vital steps of the creative process. Without failure there is no risk and no growth.

Letters from the Future will include insightful presentations from a diverse range of dance industry members including Natalie Weir and Zaimon Vilmanis. These letters will describe a future of dance in Queensland as imagined by these members of the dance community.
