CHILD SAFETY SURVEY
OCTOBER 2023
The Queensland Government is finally responding to the recommendations from the 2012 Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse. This means they’re considering a new system for all organisations working with children which includes compliance with a set of Child Safe Standards and a ‘Reportable Conduct Scheme’.
We all want to make sure our children are safe. And Ausdance QLD wants to make sure the systems and processes implemented by the government are both effective and manageable for our large, diverse and complex dance community.
Your feedback through this survey is critical to inform our conversations and advocacy to government for our members. Over the last two years, we’ve heard a great deal and had many conversations with you about child safety – what works, what doesn’t, what you’re doing, what you’re not doing and what we’d all like to see.
If you’d prefer to talk to us on the phone, we are undertaking phone consultations on Tuesday 17th, Wednesday 18th October from 8.30am – 4.30pm. Please email safedance@ausdanceqld.org.au to book your appointment.
