Osmotherly Award
The Osmotherly Award was created to recognize the outstanding contribution of dance educators whose work has clearly earned them a state, national or international reputation throughout Queensland.
The winner of the 2025 award will be announced at the Queensland Dance Education conference in May 2025.
Applications for 2025 will open soon!
Regional and Remote Dance Educators Bursary
The Regional and Remote Dance Educators Bursary was created in 2020 by Ausdance Educators QLD (AEQ) to recognise and alleviate the challenges that dance educators from regional and remote communities in Queensland experience in attending professional development in-person. In 2025, the bursary will provide one practising dance educator (or the institution providing financial support for the professional development activity) with reimbursement of their costs (including registration, travel and accommodation) to attend the Queensland Dance Educators Conference 2025 (QDEC25) in Brisbane up to the value of $1000.
Applications for 2025 will open soon!
Moving My Way
The ‘Moving My Way’ project was born out of the cancellation of 2020 Ausdance Educators Queensland’s annual conference due to restrictions imposed by COVID-19. This resource connects educators and students with practising artists by providing insight into their creative processes and professional practice.
The first project pack — a video interview and 26 pages of accompanying resources — features Queensland-based artist Richard Causer. Explore his choreographic process through this unique resource created by practising dance teachers.
