Queensland Dance Education Conference 2022 is a professional development event for dance educators and teachers in QLD, produced by Ausdance QLD in association with our Ausdance Educators QLD subcommittee.
The purpose of QDEC22 is to enrich and educate dance educators whilst elevating First Nations Peoples and Culture.
In 2022, the scope of the conference includes professional development content for primary, middle, and secondary dance educators in all schooling sectors, and independent studio & freelance teachers.
The conference will include keynote speeches, panel discussions, presentations (both of creative works and on current issues in dance education), workshops, and practical dance classes - with a substantial focus on integrating grassroots First Nations perspectives throughout the conference.
Some sessions of QDEC22 will be webcast and a ‘lockdown’ alternative product - pending Cultural ownership, copyright, acknowledgement, and permissions – will be provided by all presenters.
