Australia Council suspended many investment programs and repurposed all available uncommitted funds from this financial year to immediately respond to the COVID-19 crisis. The Resilience Fund has been created to provide immediate relief to Australian artists, arts workers and arts organisations and support their livelihoods, practice and operations.
· Survive - small grants for individuals, groups and organisations to offset or recoup financial losses due to cancelled activity.
· Adapt - grants for individuals, groups and organisations to adapt their practice and explore new operating models.
Create - grants for individuals, groups and organisations to continue to create artistic work and develop creative responses in a time of disruption.
SURVIVE - $2000 Individuals - $5000 Organisations

Survive grants are available to individuals, groups and organisations to offset or recoup money lost due to cancelled activity. These grants provide stop-gap funding until relief offered by other funding agencies, government departments and support services can be accessed.
Will fund:
Income of fees lost from cancelled work:
Fees, commissions, presentations, speaking opportunities, tours, residencies, workshops, collaborations
Other costs incurred due to cancellation, including but not limited to:
Travel, venue hire, equipment and material costs, freight, accommodation, rent, labour, other fees
Will NOT fund:
Activities prior to 1 February 2020 or that do not involve or benefit practising artists or arts workers.
Postponed activities that have been or will be rescheduled, and where income, fees or other costs have not been forfeited.
