OzCo - ADAPT $10,000-$20,000

Australia Council suspended many investment programs and repurposed all available uncommitted funds from this financial year to immediately respond to the COVID-19 crisis. The Resilience Fund has been created to provide immediate relief to Australian artists, arts workers and arts organisations and support their livelihoods, practice and operations.

·  Survive - small grants for individuals, groups and organisations to offset or recoup financial losses due to cancelled activity.

·  Adapt - grants for individuals, groups and organisations to adapt their practice and explore new operating models.

Create - grants for individuals, groups and organisations to continue to create artistic work and develop creative responses in a time of disruption.

ADAPT - $10,000 Individuals - $20,000 Organisations
Open – no closing date

Adapt grants are available to individuals, groups and organisations to adapt their practice and explore new ways of working. This could include skills and career development, business development, developing artistic practice, exploring new ways of connecting and collaborating inclusively, and increasing your digital capability.

Applications to the Adapt stream that address longer term strategies for sustainable practice and ways of working may be prioritised over short term or immediate measures.

Applications should be considerate of COVID-19 gathering restrictions put in place by state and federal governments. Your activity should last no longer than two years from the proposed start date.

Will fund:

  • Skills and career development – remote professional mentoring and mentor fees; digital residencies; coordinator and collaborator fees; course fees and online learning.

  • Business and practice development – adapting existing practice and operations; exploring alternative models and platforms for creation, collaboration, mobility or distribution; advisor fees; coordinator and collaborator fees; other expenses to research and develop new markets and income streams.

  • Developing collaborations and connections – knowledge exchange; other expenses to explore and develop collaborative networks, communities of practice and platforms for community cohesion; advisor fees; coordinator and collaborator fees.

  • Digital capability – expenses to strengthen digital infrastructure; accessing the appropriate software and advice; making content accessible to diverse and underrepresented audiences, artists and arts practitioners; advisor fees; subscriptions; equipment and infrastructure.
