Professional Development - Inclusivity through Dance


This Teacher Professional Development session will focus on dance for students of all abilities and explore strategies to make dance accessible for students with physical, sensory and cognitive needs We will deliver this session in partnership with AllPlay Dance, Deaking University Child Study Centre who will share their research and expertise in working with children with various disabilities. Underpinned by current research, workshop sessions will be tailored for early years, primary and secondary educators and will include a masterclass, Q&A with a Guest Artist and morning tea.

Secondary Teachers:
9am - 9:30am Registration
9:30am - 10:45am Masterclass with Guest Artist
10:45am - 11:30am Q&A with Guest Artist
11:30am - 12pm Morning tea (provided)
12pm - 2:45pm Workshop with AllPlay Dance, QB Teaching Artists and QB Education Ambassadors

Primary Teachers and Early Years Educators:
9am - 9:30am Registration
9:30am - 10:45am Workshop with AllPlay Dance, QB Teaching Artists and Education Ambassadors
10:45am - 11:30am Q&A with Guest Artist
11:30am - 12pm Morning tea (provided)
12pm - 1:15pm Masterclass with Guest Artist
