ABOUT GUNPOWDER TRADING POST
Gunpowder Trading Post (65 Scott Street, Wolumla NSW 2550) is a creative space & shared living space, standing on the unceded lands of the Djiringanj people, in Wolumla, Bega Valley NSW. ‘The Post’ has stood in Wolumla Village since 1886. This building has lived many lives, seen many occupants and has many stories to tell. The Gunpowder Trading Post is now home to two dance artists Paddy Meessmann & Beth Lane. They’re here to tread gently whilst they uncover this site’s histories & create something new. Continuing its history as a communal place – ‘The Post’ provides local & visiting artists a space to meet, practice, experiment & a community to share their work.
