Expressions of Interest for LGI’s 2022 Artist-in-Residence program are open. There are two types of residencies available, Make a Start and Moving Forward.

• Make a Start Residencies: One to two week in-studio residencies for projects in the early stages that are challenging choreographic thinking and exploring new experimental approaches to dance practice. Make a Start residencies can be full time or part time across weekends and evenings. Applications for Make a Start projects from March – August.

• Moving Forward Residencies: Full time in-studio residencies of up to three weeks for projects that are ready to be refined, and are approaching an outcome. At the culmination of their time, Moving Forward residents will present a showing of their work, or share part of their artistic process through a workshop, talk or publication. Moving Forward residencies also receive a stipend of $1,000 per week. Applications for Moving Forward projects from March – December.
