Queensland Ballet | Company Class Viewing

Company Class is a daily ritual for most professional dancers, where dancers are able to prepare for their day, brush up on technique, test different steps, and connect with fellow dancers before beginning rehearsals.

Consisting of a range of balletic exercises to live classical music from a pianist, ballet class is led by a ballet master or mistress and is specifically designed to hone and develop ballet technique whilst preparing and conditioning the body for the athletic demands of classical ballet. Company Classes are a daily ritual for dancers around the world which commence with smaller and refined movements at the ballet barre and develop onto expanded, travelling movements away from the barre and across the studio floor - finishing in Grand Allegro, expansive leaps and jumps.

A Company Class viewing gives you a rare opportunity to go behind the scenes to see how dancers learn and prepare for their days. Company Class viewings provide valuable insight into the technique of dancers, athleticism, and dedication of a Company together. Don't miss the incredible opportunity to see Queensland Ballet dancers in Company Class viewings on our very own Talbot Theatre stage. A short series of dates will be offered throughout the year, click ‘book now’ to secure your ticket today.
